Settle Down Easy Brewing turns 6 with a PIG ROAST

Settle Down Easy Brewing turns 6. years old with a HUGE party and PIG ROAST! A pig roast, or “pig pickin’,” is a social and culinary tradition in various cultures worldwide. Our friends at Chalkboard will be slow-cooking a whole pig in their smoker starting at midnight – on Friday night! The process will take all night, allowing the flavors to develop while creating tender, juicy meat with crisp, caramelized skin. This cooking method is often a highlight of outdoor gatherings, celebrated for its communal and festive atmosphere.

We are hosting a very special guest from DC 101. Krysten from Elliot in the Morning will be with us from 12 to 2 p.m., sharing in the fun and excitement!

Once the pig is ready, it will be carved on-site, and guests can savor the freshest slices and pick at the crispy skin. Delicious sides like coleslaw, cornbread, and baked beans will accompany the pig. A pig roast isn’t just about the food; it’s a communal event that brings people together to celebrate heritage, food, and friendship.
