Saturday, February 22, 205, will be the 4th Annual Chili Cookoff for Settle Down Easy Brewing! This lively and flavorful event celebrates the culinary art of chili-making. Our Cooks showcase their unique recipes, often passed down through generations, incorporating a variety of ingredients, from traditional chili peppers, beans, and meats to innovative add-ins like chocolate, fruits, or unique spices.

The best part of the Settle Down Easy chili cookoff is the tasting experience. It’s only $5 to taste all the different chilis and flavors! All proceeds will benefit James Madison Girls Lacrosse. Attendees, will armed with tasting spoons and scorecards, sample each contestant’s creation. Judges, selected for their culinary expertise or local notoriety (our wives), evaluate the chilis based on flavor, texture, aroma, and overall presentation. Once category for all the different chilies, including best meat chili, vegetarian chili, and people’s choice awards, ensuring a diverse range of tastes is represented.

Beyond the competition, chili cookoffs foster community spirit as friends and families gather to enjoy delicious food, share recipes, and relish the camaraderie. Later that night we will have live music from 7pm – 10pm.
